Monitor Dynamics (MDI) Re-enters Market
Monitor Dynamics (MDI), re-enters
the market as MDI Security Systems, as Ultrak sells a portion of its
business to Honeywell and changes name.
On Dec. 23, 2002 Ultrak completed the sale of its Closed-Circuit TV
business to Honeywell and changed the corporate name to American Building
Control. The global electronic security portion of the new company,
formally known as Monitor Dynamics, Inc. (MDI) of Rancho Cucamonga,
California, will remain and be doing business as MDI Security Systems.
MDI Security Systems will continue to support all of the access control
business including Point Guard. The MDI SAFEnet product line has been
redesigned over the past two years and will launch this month with new
and improved hardware and software, highlighted by features such as;
integration of Digital Video, Audio and enhanced Alarm Management.
The MDI Security Systems product line will have a total security package,
from small systems, to the very large and sophisticated systems now
being used by the major corporations and Federal Government applications
throughout the world.
